We made it! Long flight but we both slept some. We got a Sim card for a phone here in Portugal and had no trouble finding the Metro or our hotel.
Since we could not get our room right away, we left our backpacks and headed off to the fort, originally built by the Moors, and the Cathedral of St. Mary Major where we got our first carimbo.
